Description
Do you want to ensure your brand, and Company, and Corporate colors are consistent across all types of media and or presentations?
Where your Pantone Coated call out colors appear visually the same on your website, and online store, and physical location(s), and signage, and marketing collateral, and advertising, and trade show displays.
Then why not maintain your color consistency when it comes to event marketing, conference branding, and exhibition booth display?
Why?
Well, here’s a little secret you may or may not be aware of…
Consider the many different types of exhibition booth and display substrates which are either dye sublimated, roll printed, or flat fed printed.
Substrates such as…
- Backlit high intensity fabric
- Power stretch fabric
- 5 oz soft knit
- 8 oz oxford
- 2 oz satin
- 2 oz sheer
- 4 oz display poly
- 4 oz flag
- Super stretch fabric
- 13 oz flat maxx curl-free vinyl
- 18 oz outdoor scrim
- 20 oz smooth vinyl
- 7 oz outdoor mesh
- 22 mil opaque roll-able PVC
- 22 mil translucent roll-able PVC
- 11 mil melinex
- 3 mm and 6 mm white PVC
- 3 mm coloplast
- 3/16″ white foam board
- 3/16″ to 1/2″ to 1″ thick white gator board
- 3 mm and 6 mm PETG
- 3 mm to 6 mm clear plexi
- 3 mm to 6 mm milk plexi
- 3 mm to 6 mm frosted plexi
- White PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) vinyl
- 6.5 oz outdoor canvas
- Etc…
Where all these different types of substrates produce vividly visual different types of hues when printed.
For example…
If a Pantone Coated call out color is dye sublimated or printed on one type of substrate then another type of substrate the hues will be slightly different.
Why?
Because the substrate absorbs, holds, accepts, and presents the color on the natural properties of the substrate.
Which means if you dye sub a table throw with the same call out color dye sublimated on an 8oz oxford backdrop, the 8 oz backdrop fabric will absorb more ambient light than the sheen of a 4 oz ploy display throw fabric.
Thus, even though both substrates were printed (dye sublimated) to the Pantone Coated call out color(s) the light will play tricks on our minds.
Which means the display poly will appear more vibrant and sheeny where the backdrop will appear more subtle and pronounce.
But how can this be?
It’s the way which light is being refracted, absorbed or reflected off the different substrate types.
They will both be of the same color but may appear different because of the way light is either absorbed or refracted.
Thus, hard copy proofs will help you nail down your Company or Corporate color callouts to near perfection.
However, the good news is, we color calibrate all the printers on the factory floor -consistently.
Which means, each printer, whether it’s the 5m roll to rolls, 5m dye sub systems, or 3m flat beds, are color calibrated on a regular basis.
Thus, every type of substrate is color registered to Pantone Coated call outs and then attributed to each printer on the factory floor.
Therefore, when you order a particular show booth or conference or special event display print… your call out color is matched to the calibrated substrate.
Because the color is coded into the printer for your particular work order and substrate type.
So your color call out is as close to your Pantone Coated color as possible.
However, if you want to take it step further… when you order a hard copy proof(s) you get to see how your color will appear on the substrate prior to production.
Which helps you maintain the consistency of your brand across all medium and media.
However, it is nearly impossible to produce an exact match.
Because as temperatures change and humidity rises or falls… these subtle changes affect the printers print out color overtime.
Therefore, printer print calibration happens on a regular basis to ensure as consistent a color match as possible.
However, if you request printing on the same printer or dye sublimation system a month or two from now there may be a slight color hue difference. Not because the printer wasn’t color calibrated, but because the weather has an effect on the final output print.
Make sense?
Therefore, if you want to nail down your color(s) to near perfection you may want to order hard copy proofs today.
Noting -you may include Pantone Coated call out colors with your art files, and we may print them to match calibrated printer Pantone Coated call outs, and all may well.
However, if you want to see the actual color match, and how it will appear on the substrate, then order your hard copy proof(s) today.
Just make sure you hit the daily cutoff time of 11 am MST for your uploaded LAYERED art files with your Pantone Coated call outs for your proofs to print and overnight the same day.
